چکیده

Positively charged chitosan (CS) and negatively montmorillonite (MMT) were layer-by-layer (LBL) assembled on Xuan paper pulp fiber to fabricate an organic/inorganic flame-retardant coating. The achieved a limiting oxygen index (LOI) value of 24.6% when the was treated by 20 bilayers (BLs) CS/MMT coating, its vertical flame properties also improved with less after-flame after-glow times compared untreated one. These results demonstrated that retardancy could be enhanced this composite Thermogravimetric (TG) analysis revealed LBL assembly coating thermal stability at higher temperature promoted char formation, showing obvious condensed phase retardant action. Scanning electron microscopy further confirmed formation formed stable covering layer. ink wetting property not influenced through treatment fibers CS MMT. This research provides new approach for without influencing using eco-friendly system.

Preparation of Flame Retardant Polyacrylonitrile Fabric Based on Sol-Gel and Layer-by-Layer Assembly.

This paper aims to develop a novel method, i.e., sol-gel combined with layer-by-layer assembly technology, to impart flame retardancy on polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fabrics. Silica-sol was synthesized via the sol-gel process and acted as cationic solution, and phytic acid (PA) was used as the anionic medium. Flame-retardant-treated PAN fabric (FR-PAN) could achieve excellent flame retardancy with 1...

Improving the Flame Retardant Efficiency of Layer by Layer Coatings Containing Deoxyribonucleic Acid by Post-Diffusion of Hydrotalcite Nanoparticles

This work deals with the use of hydrotalcite nanoparticle post-diffusion in layer by layer (LbL) coatings with the aim of improving their flame retardant action on cotton. The selected LbL components, which encompass polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride and deoxyribonucleic acid, aim at the deposition of an intumescent coating. Infrared spectra pointed out a super-linear growth of the investiga...

Size-controlled polyelectrolyte nanocapsules via layer-by-layer self-assembly

Nanomaterials have found many important applications in biomedical, pharmaceutical, electronic, and molecular diagnostic fields. The recent introduction of electrostatic layer-by-layer (LbL) self-assembly technique enables the design and development of polymer/polymer and polymer/nanoparticle complexes at nanometer scale [1]. The LbL technique is based on alternate adsorption of oppositely char...

Collagen-based layer-by-layer coating on electrospun polymer scaffolds.

Preparation of microfibre constructs of collagen by electrospinning has been problematic due to the instability of collagen in volatile solvents, such as 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol, so that electrospinning leads to a substantial amount of gelatin fibres. In the present study we have demonstrated the production of collagen-based microfibre constructs by use of a layer-by-layer coating pro...
